Stonekettle Station blog post about "Entitlement" from rural Alaska

I am constantly amazed at our ability to turn fellow human beings into the other that we don't have to give a crap about.

"Business!" cried the Ghost, wringing its hands again. "Mankind was my business. The common welfare was my business; charity, mercy, forbearance, and benevolence, were, all, my business. The dealings of my trade were but a drop of water in the comprehensive ocean of my business!" ( a tip o' the hat to Dickens!)

It all came about from witnessing a dilapidated old pick-up truck with a "You’re Not Entitled To My Stuff!" bumper sticker being driven by a twenty-something.
