A rough guide to refuge in Ecuador

... Assange and his supporters say he was driven to his action after he lost his last avenue of appeal in fighting extradition to Sweden to face questioning over sex allegations.
From there, he believed it would be only a small step to his extradition to the US, which, his supporters say, wants to jail him and throw away the key over WikiLeaks disclosures.
But it has all become rather messy because if he leaves the embassy, British police officers will arrest him for breaching his bail conditions, even if he has been granted asylum or been given a diplomatic passport.
The irony here is that if he were to be given Ecuadorean nationality he couldnt then take refuge again in the embassy. Getting to an airport is going to be rather problematic. A blanket over the head, spirited away in the back seat of an undetected car and then a boat to his new home, would that be the future? ...
