Duquesne U. seeks religious exemption from organizing effort!

Duquesne University today moved to effectively block a union election by adjunct faculty by filing a motion claiming a religious exemption from National Labor Relations Board jurisdiction over campus labor matters.

The standard for religious exemption seems to be whether you are an actual place of worship or an organized congregation - which a University, with general enrollment practices - is not.

That's even without the shameful behavior of this particular university in backing out of its own agreement.
