KETV Omaha: Nebraska groups offer shelter should society collapse

A company called 88 Tactical is offering a training course at the site called the "Aftermath Series."

"People have been doing it for quite some time, but there's more of a focus on it now because of the environment that we live in and, you know, things aren't getting better, they're getting worse," said 88 Tactical instructor and owner Shea Degan.

The company offers self-defense training, including how to get a concealed handgun license and how to use one. On the day that KETV NewsWatch 7 was there, the group was involved in how to use weapons in the event of a large-scale disaster.

Students pay for a 5-day course in survival training. It's not necessarily for the end of the world, but for something that would disrupt society, such as an economic collapse, major natural disaster or terrorist attack.
