Trump's window is closing
President Trumps window is closing.
All signs suggest its closing on his presidency because of his world-class incompetence with the coronavirus pandemic, the protracted economic collapse that resulted, and the increasingly overt racism Trump has embraced.
But it also appears the window is closing on his connection to reality, if it hasnt already. Trump called a news conference Tuesday evening in the Rose Garden, where President John F. Kennedy met the Project Mercury astronauts, and where Menachem Begin and Anwar Sadat met to make peace and used that hallowed ground to launch an hour-long diatribe against Joe Biden, attributing a platform to his Democratic opponent that bore hardly any resemblance to anything occurring in the real world.
Biden would incentivize illegal alien child smuggling, Trump announced.
He would abolish immigration enforcement," abolish our police departments and abolish our prisons, I guess.
Bidens party is even calling for defunding of our military, Trump alleged.
And, yes, Bidens energy plan basically means no windows in homes or offices by 2030, he said, and cold office space in the winter and warm office space in the summer.
Um, Biden would abolish windows?
Im not making this up! Trump said, mid-jeremiad. (Actually, he was.)

(51,611 posts)like the Hatch Act applies to those around him.
He is getting away with free air time for his campaign (remember 2016 and all the news stations showing a stage waiting for him to appear to make a speech while Hillary got zero free air time)?!?

(6,448 posts)Since the WH is funded by public tax dollars and belongs to the people, any campaigning on its grounds should be a campaign violation. The rules apply to servers, after all. Let's think big here.
(I'm guessing, of course, but it sounds good.)
