The "talk radio defense" - that's what it should be called.
Those of us who listen in to talk radio have heard the lawyers' basic themes for months. They built their ridiculous case on contrived nonsense that bends both space and time.
This reality of the absurd (and for the naive) are repeated on Fox News with flashy graphics and almost flashing camera angles.
Trump's lawyers were never addressing the people in the room. It was all for the right wing media.
Ohioboy posted a great fact-check on the Trump's lawyer's flat out lies

Breitbart publishes a nonsense article -> Hannity reads it on the air & adds another level of bullshit to it -> World Nut Daily publishes what Hannity said and adds its own layer of lies to it -> Hannity reads THAT on the air... Wash, rinse, repeat.

in front of the US Senate.
Look I understand that you want a lawyer (or team) that will go to the wall for you, "Sharks", but watching them publicly embarass themselves almost made me feel sorry for them. Then I realized the scum that they are and what they, well, ended up doing.
The Senate Republicans are no different. Scared to death of Trump's Cletus core.

lends credibility to the blatant lies by giving Repubic propaganda equal footing with the truth.
