All across this country, state legislatures are trying to enact bills that make abortion punishable by the death penalty.

It finally hit Texas. We were all anxious to hear (and a few of us really weird people even had bets riding on it) which State Representative would be the one to introduce it.

And the winner is …. Tony Tinderholt, a Republican from Arlington.

Tony is kinda crazy. He’s been married 5 times, but he opposes marriage equality because Jesus. His goal with this legislation is to make women “more personally responsible.” Yeah, did I mention that his first wife had a restraining order against him? I guess he was just pounding responsibility into her head:

When asked why the bill makes no exception for rape or incest, Tinderholt said he’s “a firm believer that God creates children in his own image, regardless of how that child is brought into the world, it’s created in his image, and how can someone want to destroy that?”

There’s responsibility and there’s none of your business.

Editor's note: (Karoli) Does anyone besides me wonder how this specimen of maleness can be "pro-life" and extol the death penalty? Also, he's escalated since February. Then, he just wanted couples to be responsible. Now he wants ritual sacrifice.

A wannabe local politician accused of insulting the wife of a state representative and trying to proposition her for sexual favors has been charged.

Matthew Powers, a 35-year-old candidate for the Arlington City Council has been charged with sending threatening and obscene messages to Bethany Tinderholt on Valentine's Day in 2016.

Tinderholt, 39, a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader in 1996 and 1997, is married to controversial Texas Representative Tony Tinderholt - who proposed a bill that would see women who get abortions and the doctors who perform the procedure charged with murder.

Powers, using a Twitter account @CzarofSwag, 'solicited sexual favors from Bethany Tinderholt for $1 and $5, suggested that he watched her in her home and picked the locks', the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

The newspaper then cites an affidavit that states another message sent to Tinderholt read: 'Also I hope one of your kids gets raped by a pedophile or killed by someone texting. You can thank your husband for that.'

2. He is such a repulsive freak.

How he managed to even get one woman to marry him baffles me. I'll be damned if I let some fake, hypocritical "christian" tell me what I can do with my body and tell me that I can get a death sentence for it. I think he hates women because he is an ugly, fat, creepy guy who has to pay women to sleep with him and wants to punish those who have or would reject him. I hope he goes down in flames.
