But they are moving to the left, with the number of Democrats who describe themselves as liberal having doubled from 25 percent in 1994 to 51 percent in 2018.”

Enjoy your weekends? How about your worker compensation should you get injured on your "job" when napping in your chair? Glad children aren't working in factories or mines in the good ol' USA anymore? Wonder how the auto industry managed to clean up their emissions and how lead was removed from gasoline and paint? All these ideas and more came from the far left before the centrists realized it was a winning cause. The far left is the idea factory for policies that eventually become the norm. And most folks say "Duh" when looking backwards. Like - clean air and clean water and safe drinking water are good for the country - duh. Most folks I said. But not the conservatives you loved so much in the 80's through 2016.
