Rick Santorum interrupts himself, suddenly realizing he’s about to say the N-word but not halting it completely as he’s saying,
“We know what Obama was like, the anti war, government nig-gah”

Does a significant portion of his voting base LIKE this? Is this a little dog whistle to call out their latent racism? Or their raging racism?

"anti-war big government guy" but was tongue-twisted and distracted and the n-word popped out of his subconscious (not surprising in front of a crowd of eager-eyed tea partiers).

Mittens will clean his clock in Wisconsin, and it will be the last chance he has to drop out before looking like a total loser in Pennsylvania. If he had beaten Romney in Illinois, he might still be alive, but that ship has sailed.

At this point, his highest and best use is as comic relief.
