MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski on Friday unloaded on President Donald Trump for his latest unhinged rants during a Thursday night rally in Pennsylvania.

In particular, Brzezinski said that Trump’s rambling rally address offered a window into what she described as his “mental decline.”

“He’s not well,” she said bluntly. “That’s the bottom line. There’s no way anyone who knows Donald Trump, but has not bought in in some way, could watch him last night and not come away with the feeling that the President of the United States is completely unhinged and getting worse by the day.”

Brzezinski also noted that former White House staffer Omarosa Manigault-Newman is also alleging that Trump regularly spoke “gibberish” after being elected president, while also claiming that his “mental decline… could not be denied.”

“Morning Joe” contributor Donny Deutsch then explained how Trump’s mental decline can be observed simply by comparing interviews that he conducted just a decade ago with the interviews he’s been conducting since being elected president............................................

A clip from Tampa where the crowd was giving it to CNN, including giving them the finger. Donald. Then re-Tweeted that. This was a clear message that this is the behavior he cherishes. That is not healthy for the country. And, still, no Republican will challenge this sick behavior. How soon before another Charlottesville?

Why is there so much focus on his “base” which is 35% at most. Need to focus on the (non-crazy) folks in the middle and bring them over to our (sane) side.

By the way, does anyone else but me wonder who/what is behind the Qanon phenomenon? My guess is some think tank…

Mika and Joe and all the other cable news hacks who couldn't get enough of Trump and his dark carnival in 2015 and 2016 can shove it as far as I'm concerned. They wanted the crass reality show spectacle to attract eyeballs and they got it, substance, truth and our democracy be damned. There is something profoundly broken in our modern media.

I was a journalist for many years and taught as well. To me they are doing the exact same thing they did during the campaign in order to create drama and get ratings (and money) but calling it journalism. It is not. It is enabling the greatest threat to our democracy. The first thing they need to do is stop covering his insane rallies and then replaying them over and over.

People who sit in the seats and cheer for Trump at those rallies are all paid to be there. Their enthusiasm is as fake as his orange tan. Actors who are paid to cheer for him aren't even listening to a thing he says. Why should we be listening or even care what he says?

"Are Trump rallies filled with Craigslist actors?"

It's not the first time it has come up on DU either. Trump had some black guy (paid actor) carrying a sign "Blacks for Trump" sitting behind him at several rallies, and this was well after the election. It seems to happen only at the rallies that his group organizes. Whenever another group (like the VFW this week) has a Trump rally the attendance is sparse. They had to move the VFW rally to a smaller hall because so few people showed up.

On a You Tube video (Psychiatrist: Trump Mental Health Urgently Deteriorating) from John Hopkins, on the David Pakman Show, it shows we're in trouble with this sick illegitimate person sitting in the White House, and Mika is right with talking about a mental illness with this serial liar. He also claimed this condition continues to worsen as it progresses.

I think we're apt to get more independents, who certainly qualify as too late smart if they voted for trump in the last election.

I do believe that souls can be saved, though.

I just realized that one of the worst things about trump, as far as the mess he's made that we're all gonna have to clean up - is: he let all the crazies out of the closet. And gave them a strange kind of "respectability" and "legitimacy" - something they didn't deserve and DEFINITELY haven't earned.

Great for ratings, though! Everybody tunes in to say what he'll say next. But this is NOT reality TV, everybody!!!!!

I just thought of something - I wonder if there's any way to tell how much the deplorables constitute audiences for reality TV. Is this basically the same bunch that gobbled up cable shit like "Duck Dynasty," "Jersey Shore," "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," and all those "Real Housewives" shows, not to mention anything from "The Bachelor" to "The Apprentice" on the conventional networks. That would be interesting to see. I bet those audience numbers match up.

Trump is the Jerry Springer of politics, he is trash and he attracts trash, that is exactly what they want to hear because they don't understand "elitist" talk coming from someone with facts and a full vocabulary.

Do not be fooled by this shenanigans, it works for people who are ignorant and easily impressed.

I hate to say it, but this will not turn out well, his followers are violent and full of hate.

Clearly she is speaking based on her professional training, her years of clinical experience, and her love for this country, and not just because she wants to sell more copies of her book, Unhinged, now available in hardcover and Kindle versions from Amazon.

For the record, I think she and Mika and everyone else who can look at IQ45's rallies and see the behavior of their crazy old Uncle Paul from Schenectady are right. Trump has lost touch with reality and should be removed from office. The problem is, who will bell the cat?

Meanwhile, Omarosa has a book to hawk...

I think that his real followers are at their best bottoms (and best tops, too.) But as many have thought, many of the yelling red-faced old men are there for a paid lunch and $50. The real thugs are probably paid a bit more to incite violence - in the name of the pResident of the United States. Who would have thought we could have gotten here in just a couple of years?
