November Just Got Cloudier for House Republicans With Ryan’s Exit
‘You don’t want the captain leaving the ship,’ ex-NRCC chairman says

Paul D. Ryan’s announcement Wednesday that he doesn’t want to be a part of that majority next year has only crystalized the perception that the House GOP is in for a drubbing in November.

“It’s over,” one GOP operative who’s worked on House and Senate races said.

Ryan is one of 25 House Republicans not seeking re-election or another office in a cycle when President Donald Trump remains a constant distraction from the legislative agenda GOP lawmakers want to be touting.

----------

Don't slack off - we will continue to organize, vote, register, and GOTV. But the House is looking lost for the GOP.

(The Senate will be decided by a few votes in swing states like Missouri, where the scary part is that the Koch data org, i360 -- like Cambridge Analytica, but in the US -- will be working on targeting voters on social media.)

You could argue this is the most important election in the history of the democratic world, given that if America slides into fascism, the whole world could end up in war.

GOTV! If we do that, the house is ours.

Then the worry is the Senate.

In the Senate, a small number of votes will determine R or D control of Senate in 2019. The Koch data firm, i360, is going to do the same stuff Cambridge Analytica did in 2018. We must address that.

Which would assume that Pence does not go down with Trump.
