Questions every Republican must answer after Trump's meltdown
By Jennifer Rubin

Republican politicians, donors, operatives and media sycophants should be held to account for lifting Trump to the presidency. Senate and House Republicans need to be pressed to give honest, direct answers to the questions that sentient adults are asking themselves:
* Is the president morally, intellectually and temperamentally fit to serve?
* Can he rationally carry out the duties of his office?
* As Clapper suggested, could he be a threat to national security?
* Do you trust him with possession of nuclear codes?
* Will you denounce his encouragement of racist elements (who invoked his name in Charlottesville)?
* Will the GOP need a different nominee in 2020?
What are you prepared to do about him if you acknowledge he is unfit to lead?
Voters and interviewers should not allow GOP pols to evade, deflect or plead lack of knowledge. They are not only fellow citizens but also constitutional officers who have a duty beyond party to act in the best interests of the country.
