[font size=3] WASHINGTON — President Trump told Americans "don't worry" about his aggressive behavior toward friends and foes alike on Thursday, but his less-than-diplomatic approach to diplomacy is alarming U.S. allies.

In the past 24 hours Trump publicly put Iran "on notice" after it tested a ballistic missile, and had aggressive private conversations with the leaders of two longtime U.S. allies, threatening to pull out of a refugee agreement with Australia and suggesting he might send troops into Mexico if it doesn't do more to handle its internal violence.

He doubled down on his aggressive talk after strong bipartisan blowback, defending his approach to a new world order during a National Prayer Breakfast speech even as he took swings at more perceived enemies.

"When you hear about the tough phone calls I'm having don't worry about it, just don't worry about it. They're tough. We have to be tough, it's time we're going to be a little tough, folks. We're taken advantage of by every nation in the world virtually. It's not going to happen anymore," he said, just moments after mocking actor and former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) and bragging about his cabinet picks at an event that's usually marked by solemnity and bipartisanship.
