Donald Trump is about to find out you cant run government like a business

Trump, it's worth emphasizing, has never run a Fortune 500 corporation. No board of directors of any company has at any point even considered hiring Trump as a CEO. He did have a stint running a publicly traded company that he started during the 1990s stock market mania, and it turned out (like his fake college) to be a scam, in which he enriched himself at shareholder expense.

That is true. That begs another question.
Should government operate with losses?
(budget deficits). The debt is not free.
Cost of servicing the debt (interest paid out) can kill
a lot of worthwhile initiatives for lack of funding.

I understand, after his electoral win, the DC hotel received huge amount of bookings from foreign diplomats & foreign business interests. In other words Trumpy is exploiting and benefiting in his private business with his government position. Why is this not illegal?
