A most dreadful inaugural address, George Will

'Twenty minutes into his presidency, Donald Trump, who is always claiming to have made, or to be about to make, astonishing history, had done so. Living down to expectations, he had delivered the most dreadful inaugural address in history.

Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s White House counselor, had promised that the speech would be “elegant.” This is not the adjective that came to mind as he described “American carnage.” That was a phrase the likes of which has never hitherto been spoken at an inauguration.'>>>

I didn't watch, have not checked news and been mostly disconnected intentionally.

He met my expectations by being a horrible speech. Biggly!

I can see him taking a variety of stands on that.

the same way that the Trump grill puts expensive ingredients on plates but manages to cook them in the worst ways. For someone who is after all the second generation of wealth in the family,, Donald Trump just seems like he came off some sort of best will truck in Queens.

if you think I'm going to exonerate you because you realize what you summoned in the world, you are mistaken. My goal in 2018 and 2020 is to do nothing less than to make sure the Americans build a bonfire and throw all the old crap from the Republican era finally upon it including everything you wrote. Oh don't worry your books would be kept on record as examples of inferior thought, but you will be laughed at and you will be discredited.
