The one about the dinosaurs dreaming of a day when their rotted carcasses will be burned for fuel reminded me of something I learned late in life.

According to a science article I recently read, the bulk of the oil we burn doesn't come from fosslilized mammals, but from plant life. The energy in oil isn't created over time, but is the result of stored photosynthesis in billions of years of decayed plant life. The energy in oil actually comes from an ancient sun.

...but yeah, that is definitely true. All that I can really conclude after asking the basic question of where energy comes from is that it is indeed what one might term a "miracle."

As Einstein described, there is a certain "spooky action at a distance."

You found some real zingers. Thanks for the effort. I love political cartoons and since my local papers died, they're hard to come by. (Well, one of 'em died. The other is the same Republican zombie it's always been.)

The best way to get rid of Republican zombies is to target the cerebral cortex with force!

It's like someone read my mind !

The "suicide in progress" cartoon is a real beaut -- it's four cartoons in one, all winners ! This guy is working way too hard !
