New documentary sheds light on temp workers killed on the job (Toronto Star)

12:01 AM, Mon., May 30, 2016

The film A Day’s Work explores exploitation in the U.S. temp agency industry.

In 2012, 20-year-old temp worker Day Davis was killed on his first day on the job at a Bacardi bottling facility in Florida. His story is the bedrock of a new documentary, A Day’s Work, which explores the American temp agency industry and the exploitation of vulnerable workers. The Star spoke to executive producer Dave DeSario ahead of the film’s June 1 Toronto screening.
