Trump’s initial response was simply to note that his followers “love this country and they want this country to be great again. They are passionate.” If that is the sort of “passion” a few rallies and speeches incite, how much worse would it be in the event — God help us all — of an actual Trump victory? ...

... to be sanguine about the danger of radical right violence is to pretend Cliven Bundy’s armed standoff in Nevada and the armed takeover of federal property in Oregon never happened. And it is to ignore a litany of radical right terror plots enacted or interdicted in recent years.

From the Oklahoma City bombing to the Atlanta Olympics bombing to a New York state plot to murder Muslims by radiation poisoning, to a massacre at an African-American church in Charleston, to the attempted bombing of a Martin Luther King Day parade in Spokane, to the crashing of an airplane into an IRS office in Austin to a mass shooting at a Planned Parenthood facility in Colorado Springs to, literally, dozens more, the radical right has hardly been shy about using violence to frighten people as a means of achieving their political goals — the dictionary definition of terrorism ...

1. There will be blood no matter who wins. There always is.

Will there be more with trump? Possibly if the crazies think he will give them the green light. I think we'll know more as trump pivots going into the GE.

For some reason, the crazies seem to be more active when a Democrat is in the White House. That probably has to do with right wing hate radio going ballistic against the Democrat. The wingnut radio is more on defense when a right winger is in the White House.

They were loud and proud all through Bush administration supporting the war and the surge.They were cocky and proud with Reagan in office. The only time they weren't cocky and proud was when Bush Sr. actually did the right thing and raised taxes. They punished him the next election by voting for Ross Perot or not voting.

3. I think they go more nuts if he loses

He's malleable and if the establishment GOP keeps the house and senate, trump will bend to their will. All they have to tell him is how smart he is to come up with their idea and I doubt they will burn the place down. People will suffer terribly and it will take us back years and we won't recover in my lifetime.
But if he loses, his fans will go batshit nuts. And he will spout off every loon ct he reads on the internet.

4. Pick your poison.....

If Trump wins, we all know what to expect.

If Hillary wins, it's a huge gamble, and honestly, barring another major 9/11-style attack which obviously would predicate a major military response, I think it's safe to say we'll be involved in another escalated war in the Middle East.

8. Working people will lose with both Trump and Hillary. they both support slave-like labor programs

because they are legal.

Trump's hotels use them in the Middle East and here. Hillary's husband signed the biggest potential one into law.

So with both quasi right wing candidates they will lose.

5. If Hillary wins it's war against a foreign country or group

Probably a serious one.

But if Trump wins, the war is against us.

7. As someone posted on DU not long ago,

his campaign style is having a negative effect on children. I think his nomination and Presidential campaign will make this even worse. The worst racist bullies will be emboldened, no matter what their age.

In North Carolina, a high school teacher says she has “Latino students who carry their birth certificates and Social Security cards to school because they are afraid they will be deported.”

This makes me so saddened that children are worrying about this...
