(20,219 posts)The people sitting around the feast table are all white men...That's in keeping with the repuke extremist new world regime fascist platform,
BUT
look closely and you'll see that the circle of people around the perimeter is entirely male. White male, looks like, though that's a little bit tough to discern.
But definitely there are no women included in the larger group.
Just a little bit of an odd oversight on the cartoonist's part that I thought I'd point out.

"I'm your huckleberry." Lord have mercy!
(BTW, I suspect that the cartoonist deliberately portrayed all men, in keeping with the patriarchal roots of 'democracy.')

(674 posts)Just a quick perusal. They are wearing dresses, I assume that means they are women.

(20,219 posts)I looked really really closely; all I see are little guys wearing suits and overcoats, some with hats.....

(674 posts)look to me like they're wearing dresses and are leaning with one bent leg into the guy next to them. They look like a flopped cut and paste. Then over on the left there are several characters that I thought had bare legs, as well as a couple on the other side, but now that I look again, the legs could be the lines between the pants of guy figures.
Anyway, I agree with you that women are not represented, even if there are only a few.

What we call "democracy" these days is mostly an illusion. This just another name for plutarchy (oligarchy + plutocracy), with the plutarchs now openly being corporate heads. This is a somewhat updated and slightly more gentle version (for now) of fascism, which is just a modern variant of the old feudal system.
