Dear GOP: Why do you hate me? An Open Letter

Dear GOP:

What have I ever done to you to make you hate me so much?

I was born female and somehow you want to deny me, and all the other women and girls, things you consider sacrosanct for men. Oh wait, not all men, just those that are straight, white and Christian. But I digress. I look at the abominations of legislation you are trying to pass in state after state, and ask myself what would have become of me had you passed those things when I was a girl.

Luckily for me, I was born into a family that valued education for both sons and daughters. My dad paid for his college education with help from the GI bill. As adults, with children, both my parents earned graduate degrees: a Masters for my mom, and Masters and a PhD for my dad. From the day I started school, it wasn't a question of whether I'd go to college, but where. Same for my brother. And in our generation we too have a slew of degrees.

One of the reasons I was able to get an education, and make great use of said education was because I had access to birth control. If you, as a party, had your way, I wouldn't have educational opportunities: I'd be home raising kid after kid, home-schooling them (how, I don't know since I wouldn't know anything).

Because you don't know your place. You don't bow to their control, you don't accept their hierarchy, and so they must destroy you.

But I stand with you.

3. They do not hate you, they just love the 1% more.

These politicians have very cushy jobs. Their survival is to cater to people who have the money to pay for their campaigns. It has become a cottage industry to support the 1%. Fox, rush, right wing radio, make tons of money supporting the 1% agenda. They spend more money on lobbyists then in paying taxes.
But social media and internet have leveled the playing field. Politicians would say and do different things. But know with you tube you can not deny the video footage of their past comments. That's why Mitt is having a hard time closing the deal, he was severely liberal before he was severely conservative. And their is video to prove that point.

even care about issues or what would result
Like Kris Kristofferson said something in Fast Food Nation about the food industry like - " They would cut your throat for a nickel
But it is nothing personnel at all,
they just want the extra nickel."
Corps are beholden to share holders to profit and make money. However I do not think our Congress should be dictated by corporations -1%s via lobbyists or otherwise!.
Will court rulings stay exempt from out right profit like this in the future?

Men have been trying to control women since time began. Back when we couldn't stop it we had to put up with it. I suggest we change that little problem right now.

you're not on their radar at all. All they care about is their $$$ and making more $$$. As George Carlin so aptly said "it's a big club and you're not in it".

Same reason they hate a biracial man having the audacity to become president .
How dare you come out of that kitchen not pregnant?

Please sit in your assigned seat and STFU is the ideal for them.
If you can help out with the cost of education by doing it yourself that would be better than pie.

2012 is becoming so retro early 70's in a way protests of war , birth control, pro-choice movements, gay rights, energy environment regress we are almost back to that ermerca the teabaggers want. Make way for the new Archie Bunker they are all around

The 70's Except back then they taxed the rich and had good GI bills not kicks to the curb for vets.
Heard that today

It's not like anyone is trying to "accomplish" anything in torture except to take pleasure in the destruction of the one being tortured. It doesn't provide information, it doesn't control individual behavior, it doesn't even deter similar actions if the provocation is large enough. Not, it's not about anything deeper then enjoying someone's suffering, the way that chimps will twist the arms and legs off a chimp from another tribe, chew its face and genitals off, and then sit around watching it suffer until they are bored.

There is NO place low enough for you that we won't hate you. There is NO behavior, NO obedience, NO role that you can play that will shield you from being hated and abused. If we could impale you on sharpened sticks and let you slowly die and rot up in the air, we would be sharpening sticks in an instant. If we can poison your water, we will. If we can poison your food, we will. If we can rape your children, we will, and if we can make you watch, we will.

There is no 'because'. There is no end goal. There is only being on top or not, and it doesn't matter whether you're rising or sinking, as long as you're on top of someone else, because if they rise, you will rise higher, and if you sink, they will die first.

At least that's the way they explained it to me when I was growing up.

9. Do you really want to know why they hate us?
Fri Feb 17, 2012, 02:02 PM

Because they fear us!

Women now participate in every major job category in the United States. We are the doctors who they may have to go to to try to save themselves from a dreaded disease. We are the senators and representatives that they have to sit across from in the houses of Congress. We are the ambassadors and the cabinet positions that they have to submit to. We are police officers, fire fighters, teachers, military service personnel, clergy, accountants, chefs, taxi drivers, etc., etc., etc. - the list is never ending.

We took the fight of the sixties and made it work for us. And that has them afraid. Afraid that all of womankind will not meekly step back into submission like their own wives have willingly done, and like they are forcing their daughters to do.

I say bring it on, you sad sacks of shit! I have not forgotten that our equality was a right fought valiantly for, and I will not give that right up. I am woman. Hear me roar. In NUMBERS too big to IGNORE.

I am vocal. I am intelligent, and I vote!

Remember when the GOP blocked the last GI Bill enhancements?

Claimed the increased benefits were a bad thing for the troops (they might actually leave the military and use them).

Don't get me started on how the GOP also tried to block Heath care spending for 9/11 first responders and volunteers.
