So the first thing we must do is understand that most of the gangster/terrorist groups that plague the planet today have been created by our own trusted leaders, to serve the cynical purposes of big business, and the massive military/police/intelligence organisations who need Permanent War so they can stay in business. ISIS is just the latest from our production line that previously helped to produce monsters like al Qaeda and the Taleban. When ISIS is gone well simply promote another monster to replace it al Shabaab, perhaps? Or Boko Haram? Thats what we do: we help create monsters to serve our 1%.

that's what sets Sanders apart: instead of being in crisis-management, "whaddawedoo about IS?!" mode he pulls back and remembers WHY IS is around
even just arming the Kurds is just kicking the can down the road--and no doubt we'll sour on the group we'd said was all secularist roses and feminist candy, that was the purest, best hope for the Mideast, is suddenly not quite as American as we'd thought; then we'll find someone else we think's been created in our own image to fight THEM, and a few years later dump them (my money's on MeQ, especially after Clinton personally got them off the terror lists--for all the times they've had shootouts in Paris--and got them more training and money)
