How Did Scott Walker Ever Become Governor of Wisconsin?

(Note to Good Reads Forum Moderator: The following is NOT a "conspiracy theory&quot

Here are some FACTS relating to how Scott Walker became governor, and how he survived the recall attempt in 2012.

FACT:
Forty-six Wisconsin counties and 3,000 voting machines are being controlled by a two-person company run out of a strip mall in Minnesota.

FACT:
There is evidence that he survived the 2012 recall attempt through voting machine fraud as well.

FACT:
Wisconsin Paper Ballot Scanners Failed To Count 1,000s Of Votes In "Citizens United" Ballot Referendum (By Brad Friedman, 11/9/2014)
"Though some 5,350 voters are known to have voted in the city of Stoughton in Dane County, Wisconsin on Tuesday, just 16 of those voters were interested in voting in a local ballot referendum calling for an amendment in the U.S. Constitution to help overturn the infamous Citizens United decision - at least according to the results reported by paper ballot optical-scan computer tabulators there.
A malfunction with the voting machines in Stoughton Tuesday led to an incomplete outcome of the city's referendum on whether to amend the U.S. Constitution, Stoughton clerk Lana Kropf said," according to a terse and somewhat cryptic report in the Wisconsin State Journal on Thursday.

Walker Wins (Again) Democracy Loses (Again, Big Time): BradCast 7/16/2105
Guest:Brendan Fischer of Center for Media and Democracy..
by Brad Friedman, 7/16. 2015
"I had to ask my guest on today's BradCast whether I was being overly dramatic in seeing today's stunning news from the Wisconsin Supreme Court as 'the death of democracy.'
He did not warn me off that thinking."
(Brad Friedman goes on)
"Then it's onto the jaw-dropping Wisconsin Supreme Court verdict in the challenge to the prosecutorial investigation into blatant collusion between Gov. Scott Walker and a number of Right-wing groups which spent millions in an alleged 'criminal scheme' to help Walker win his 2012 recall election."

Driving down the road and on their airwaves advertising their idiocy so he has plenty of real voters too. Tone there has changed imo.
Cheese heads going Swiss with big empty holes even near Milwaukee . Haven't been near Madison for eons I hope that hasn't changed . ...but I don't doubt the fraud and more too not caught, don't you imagine?

groups.....Brad Friedman describes the "jaw-dropping Wisconsin Supreme Court verdict in the challenge to the prosecutorial investigation into collusion between Gov. Scott Walker and a number of right-wing groups which spent millions in an alleged criminal scheme to help Walker win his 2012 recall election."

With people like Karl Rove, Kenneth Adelman & the Koch Brothers (and their BILLION dollars) on his side, what's the cost of a few thousand yard signs?

Also, I don't doubt that there are millions of Walker supporters, so lots of "Walker" signs don't surprise me at all.

(and don't forget - he's running for president)

if you do a search on Google you'll see this is an area that is fraught with manipulation. They've done studies on these signs and whether they work (they do)! So, the question is how much folks are being paid to put them in their yards, or whether the brain-washing from FOX news has done enough to make people willing to have them up for free.

Wisconsin is a very different state than it was half a century ago. I remember painting strike signs with my dad back when he belonged to a union in a small factory - middle of the state. The unions in the paper mills especially were very forceful (no surprise with Chicago just a few hours south). But much of that industry is gone now, the former unions workers (or their children & grandchildren) are making $7.00 an hour at Walmart, and voting issues are rampant (see: Kathy Nickolaus). Even some of those "yards" holding signs may be property owned by factory farms - most of the small family farms are long gone.

I have family in Madison and surrounding areas who report the turn-out for Bernie Sanders was very enthusiastic. But Madison is a bit of an oasis now, just as Austin is in Texas.

Turnout declined 16 points from 2012. If people voted in 2014 Mary Burke would have won.

There was voter apathy/suppression at work. Also Mary was, like Tom Barrett, not a candidate that lit your fire so to speak. Combine this with a few stumbles and a state Democratic party that is wandering as though lost in the woods and you have the result we have today. Combine that with the national Dems doing virtually squat for our fight against Walker and there you have it. If anybody really doubts this lack on the part of the party then how come it is in Wisconsin there are a few scattered Dems blogs with little visibility. You would think if they were serious that there would be a well planned effort to have a large daily on-line effort against this clown. However the Wisconsin state Democratic party has always been an exercise in frustration when it comes to organizing anything and carrying it out. As an example during all of these elections I have seen no physical or literature presence in my apartment building. I have received no phone calls. Many of us in Wisconsin were asking ourselves where are the yard signs? Very weak GOTV effort. It was like somebody was running for class president. The national Dems should have been sharp enough to see these weaknesses early and get some top notch help in here. Failed. Meanwhile we all know how the Republican machine brings in people and effort from all over. It should not have been a surprise.
