1. I will assume she is a survivor of dysfunction. How she worked through it is odd but

it is to me at least understandable that she did not want to identify with her family of origin.
(I know someone who has had plastic surgery to work through not looking like her family . She said it hurt her to look in the mirror and see her family that abused her in her face. I can not relate but do try to understand )

Also I have read the parents were aware of this passing for awhile but since she will be involved in a sex abuse case regarding the family they decided to discredit her as a witness by outing her. They did a very good job!

2. I did not know a lot of details that have been revealed

but so far not at all surprised learning of her fundie family.
