(2,382 posts)I read Dee brown's book years ago, but now I'll pull it off the shelf and read it again.
I was trying to put Roof's short-sighted and self-centered words in historical perspective, but I do not want to diminish, or draw attention away from, the terrible anguish suffered by the congregation of Mother Emanuel's AME Church, or indeed, all people of color and the injustices they endure on a daily basis.
