Christian Flag removed form public park

http://www.journalnow.com/news/local/king-settles-flag-lawsuit-christian-flag-statue-to-be-removed/article_c11528ba-9629-11e4-ab19-2f451330af9f.html

The Veteran’s Memorial at King Central Park is losing its Christian flag and statue of a soldier kneeling by a cross, ending four years of contentious debate.

The city of King, NC lost its fight to display the Christian Flag at it's Veterans's Memorial Park! A long legal fight has brewed in King, just northwest of Winston-Salem, over the display of a Christian Flag and small silhouette statue of a kneeling Soldier in prayer at this small park. For the past several years, King has held a lottery for each week of the year for the weekly winner to display their flag of choose. Needless to say very few non Christian religions have won the lottery allowing them to display their flag or have no flag flown over the park….this is a good thing. I was thrilled to see King quit fighting for the Christian Flag display. It got too expensive for them…..
