(5,364 posts)For one thing, there are so many teabaggers or republican ideologues at work. The other is that even those who are dems/independents or liberals seem to take this lying down or are apathetic: They talk about only what are basically headlines of recent events: events doubtlessly designed to distract from the ton of bricks TPP. The MSM has played them hook-line-sinker.

(2,382 posts)The sad part is, Democrats aren't blissfully ignorant of the gravity of the unspeakable evil of the TPP, they are up-to-their-necks complicit in this treachery. Just look at Obama and Clinton, not to mention a host of others hoping to get in good with the corporatists at the top of the food chain. We who say, "Now wait just a damned minute!" are regarded as little more than acceptable losses, if we register on their radar at all. They consider their power unassailable, They own the media and most of the politicians in that cesspool we call Washington, D.C., so they have no fear of little people like us... yet.

(2,382 posts)... with his snarky remark about not getting our "facts" about the TPP from the Huffington Post. I hope the reason he's supporting this corporate coup d'etat is because Wall Street threatened his kids or something. Because if he actually thinks the TPP is anything but a treacherous betrayal of the filthiest sort, his precious "legacy" ain't gonna be worth shit.

(2,382 posts)People are finally starting to pay attention to this monstrous malignancy. I just hope it's not too late. Of all the rotten things the government has done to us to enable the evil bastards on Wall Street, this is the worst, by several orders of magnitude. It must NEVER be forgotten or forgiven.

(2,382 posts)Not long ago, Obama had a hissy fit during which he was complaining that critics of the TPP "just don't understand it." So how can we understand something that is kept so secret that even members of Congress who SHOULD know all about it, haven't been read in on it at all? The only info we have is from leaks.
Despite all the good things Obama's trying to do now that he has "no more campaigns to run," his precious "legacy" will be this putrid pile of obscene treachery. That, and strapping on his knee pads every time Wall Street snapped its fingers.
I SO wanted to admire the man, but that ship has sailed.

(2,382 posts)... for letting everyone see just what this corporate coup d'etat masquerading as a "Trade Deal" really looks like. The TPP is even more evil than anyone thought. KILL IT!
