Omaha ed board members call for McPherson to resign over Obama 'half breed' remarks on blog

The pressure on Pat McPherson continued Monday.

Four Omaha Board of Education members Monday called on McPherson to resign from the Nebraska State Board of Education over bigoted statements on his blog.

Omaha board members Marian Fey, Marque Snow, Anthony Vargas, and Justin Wayne weighed in with a press release.

“In Nebraska we value diversity and we show respect for everyone — even those who we may disagree with,” Snow said. “There is a place for disagreement in politics — but there is no place for racist commentary.”
