PEMBERTON TWP. — A 22-year-old township woman has been charged with murder after allegedly setting her newborn child on fire Friday night on Simontown Road, Burlington County authorities announced Saturday.

Hyphernkemberly Dorvilier, 22, of Rutgers Avenue, in Pemberton, was charged with one count of murder, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi and Pemberton Township police Chief David H. Jantas.

Officers from the Pemberton Township Police Department were dispatched to Simontown Road just before 11 p.m. Friday after a resident called to report the fire in the roadway.

Dave Joseph, 45, of Pemberton, told the Burlington County Times he saw a young woman get out of her car and light something on fire in the middle of Simontown Road. He said the woman told him she was burning dog waste.

Joseph said the woman appeared calm and soon tried to flee the scene, but residents stopped her.

she went. I did not leave her alone with the kids. It took me two or three weeks to get our mother and her husband to understand how bad she had gotten.

I hope this poor infant did not suffer the fire (so much for that after rereading the link. ), or other, and that the poor mother is treated kindly as a very ill woman.
