Westminster paedophile ring: Top Tory MP 'murdered girl at vile orgy' claims new witness
Source: The Mirror
A victim of a VIP paedophile ring believes a girl of 15 was killed at a vile orgy.
The new witness has told police he watched the teenager being taken into a terrifying medical room by a senior Tory MP and never saw her again.
The sickening events are said to have taken place at Londons notorious Dolphin Square flats in the 1990s, the Sunday People can reveal.
He fears the teenager may have been killed by a brutal sadist acting out his horrific fantasies.
It would make her the fourth reported murder victim of a Westminster-based pervert ring, some of them household names.

Strangely, there appears to be a media blackout regarding these developing stories and The Mirror seem to be the only paper covering it.

(90,061 posts)I think that certain parts of the ruling elites of the USA and Europe are decadent and rotten to the core and have been for centuries. I think this sort of thing is ubiquitous, pops up all over, but not that common. It is usually hard to tell fact from fantasy with these people, they are compulsive (obviously) and not well grounded in reality to start with.
I remember from my youth that young women past puberty were fair game as long as they were not from the upper classes. Motherhood was their destiny anyhow. My daughter once told me of a friend who told her she liked me because I didn't try to get funny with her. This girl was ten. That was the 70s. So I am willing to believe pretty much anything, but tend to be skeptical about details.
I think feminism has a lot to do with the new sensitivity about men who like them really young, those young women now resent having their lives hijacked by motherhood before they choose to do that themselves, because they have other options.
If there is something specific?

(14,449 posts)It is so over the top that it is astounding and shocking that maybe it takes time to verify and ensure it is real and true. I am sure most outlets are trying to find out facts before reporting this horrific story. Last thing they want is another Rolling Stone mess. I think it is prudent that they ensure the facts are correct before reporting. What's a few more days for a story from the 90's?

(90,061 posts)I suppose I'm just not used to thinking of our news media in that sort of responsible public-spirited way. I expect them to go for the gore and gossip, and catapult the propaganda.
I would suggest that the abundance of their caution is much improved when the parties involved are parties they know personally.

(10,575 posts)Ghislaine Maxwell: I was not a madam for paedophile
The daughter of disgraced Mirror newspapers chief Robert Maxwell said her character had been defamed.
Documents lodged with a court in Florida say the 53-year-old introduced her former boyfriend Epstein to powerful individuals, including Prince Andrew, after moving to New York in 1991 following the death of her father on his yacht.
According to the documents, a woman identified as Jane Doe 3 says Ms Maxwell asked her to visit Epsteins Florida mansion when she was 15 years old.
The document says: Epstein and Maxwell turned it into a sexual encounter, as they had done with many other victims.

(12,977 posts)The people who do these things are the people who can get away with them. The psychopaths who tend to gravitate towards positions of power. The members of the old boys' club who know any inconvenient evidence will be covered over and hushed up.
The fact that nursery school teachers have been accused of things that weren't true doesn't negate the possibility that those things were being done by those who really had the means, motives, and opportunities.
Those groundless accusations might even be seen as part of the coverup -- an attempt to made the whole subject of organized pedophilia and ritual abuse appear so ludicrous that it gets dropped by all respectable people. (Just as the threads on those subjects that appeared at DU regularly a decade ago were swept out in the wave of reaction against 911 Truthers.)
But this time around, the story seems to have legs. And it's particularly interesting that this latest charge concerns an incident from the 1990s. Previously stories I've seen referred to the late 1970s and early 80ss and involved people who are mostly now dead. Is there any reason to believe it ever stopped?

(13,877 posts)from Amazon.... "The shut-down of Omaha, Nebraska's Franklin Community Federal Credit Union, raided by federal agencies in November 1988, sent shock waves all the way to Washington, D.C. $40 million was missing. The credit union's manager: Republican Party activist Lawrence E. "Larry" King, Jr., behind whose rise to fame and riches stood powerful figures in Nebraska politics and business, and in the nation's capital.
In the face of opposition from local and state law enforcement, from the FBI, and from the powerful Omaha World-Herald newspaper, a special Franklin committee of the Nebraska Legislature launched its own probe. What looked like a financial swindle, soon exploded into a hideous tale of drugs, Iran-Contra money-laundering, a nationwide child abuse ring, and ritual murder.
Nineteen months later, the legislative committee's chief investigator died - suddenly, and violently, like more than a dozen other people linked to the Franklin case.
Author John DeCamp knows the Franklin scandal from the inside. In 1990, his "DeCamp memo" first publicly named the alleged high-ranking abusers. Today, he is attorney for two of the abuse victims.
Using documentation never before made public, DeCamp lays bare not only the crimes, but the cover-up - a textbook case of how dangerous the corruption of institutions of government, and the press, can be. In its sweep and in what it portends for the nation, the Franklin cover-up followed the ugly precedent of the Warren Commission."
(The VIPs included the Bush Family)
Another version From Amazon books ..."A chilling exposé of corporate corruption and government cover-ups, this account of a nationwide child-trafficking and pedophilia ring in the United States tells a sordid tale of corruption in high places. The scandal originally surfaced during an investigation into Omaha, Nebraska's failed Franklin Federal Credit Union that went beyond the Midwest, ultimately to Washington, DC. Implicating businessmen, senators, major media corporations, the CIA, and even the venerable Boys Town organization, this extensively researched report includes firsthand interviews with key witnesses and explores a controversy that has received scant media attention.

(22,109 posts)Mr Camerons decision came in a response to a letter from John Mann, the Labour MP who wrote to all party leaders last month urging them to put all other considerations aside and urgently uncover and pass on any information relating to child abuse in your political party.
In particular every living Whip needs to be questioned by their party on any evidence or rumours that were circulating at the time.
Mr Mann said in the letter, sent on December 4, that there were police inquiries on going into a number of former Members of Parliament, with at least 22 names alleged to have been involved.
Mr Mann made reference to a 1995 BBC interview with Tim Fortescue, a Tory whip from 1970 to 1973, in which he mentioned Parliamentary scandals involving small boys that the Whips office would help to cover up.
