Republicans critical of Obama response to Sony attacks, 'cybervandalism' remark

Source: Faux News

Top Washington Republicans on Sunday hammered President Obama for his handling of North Korea’s cyberattacks on Sony Pictures Entertainment, saying he is slow to respond and has underplayed the impact of the hacking by calling it “cybervandalism.”

Rep. Mike Rogers, chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, told “Fox News Sunday” that Obama should already be responding to the attacks instead of just vowing to respond.

On Friday, after Sony halted the distribution of its film “The Interview,” Obama acknowledged the attacks were damaging but said only that “we will respond.”

Rogers, R-Mich., said that Obama’s response before “saying aloha” and embarking on his annual winter break in Hawaii was not the answer.

But that's the only thing they can do... calling names and making claims, because they have absolutely no ideas of their own.

is that this was a movie that explicitly dealt with assassinating the President of another country. Not in the abstract, but a specific guy. Frankly I don't blame the Koreans for being pissed about that. And if this means one less crap movie out there, I can think of a lot worse outcomes.

assassination of George W Bush, made in the UK in 2006. 'The Killing of a President'. Not abstract, very specific.
So what do you make of that? Should we have cyber attacked the Brits?

My guess is that the plot like was along the line of "There are bad guys trying to kill our President. Let's go kick their asses."

Am I right?

How about producing a serious plan to protect Americans from hacker, malware, etc. type of bullshit...but what do they do?

All Obama has to do is be for or against anything and the GOP will take the opposite position.

I wish Obama would come out for something they really want.
