Lou Ferrigno’s wife, Carla: Bill Cosby tried to sexually assault me

Source: Washington Times

"Carla Ferrigno, the wife of Lou Ferrigno — who played “The Incredible Hulk” on TV — said Bill Cosby tried to sexually assault her at a party when she was in her teen years. And her claim comes on the heels of one from another woman, Therese Serignese, who said the now-beleaguered actor once gave her pills and raped her.

Ms. Serignese of Boca Raton, Florida, is the fourth woman to come forward in recent days to accuse Mr. Cosby of rape, the Daily Mail reported. She said she was 19 when Mr. Cosby gave her pills at a Las Vegas show — and that she later awoke to find him having sex with her, the Daily Mail reported.

I took them, didn’t know what they were — didn’t even ask,” she said, of the pills she was handed at the Hilton in Las Vegas in 1976, after meeting Mr. Cosby and being invited to his show’s after party, the Daily Mail said. “I just was intimidated I guess, and I took them. Then my next memory is feeling drugged and him having sex with me.”

Ms. Serignese was actually Jane Doe 10 of 13 in a civil suit that was brought against Mr. Cosby by Andrea Constand. The case was settled out of court."

They have a wall of silence woven into the fabric of career survival. My concerns are directed at repercussions for anyone that speaks out on dirty secrets of abuse. The saying is often heard, " You'll never work in this town again". Cosby was a money maker...end of story.

Other than Dickenson. Dont know if Cosby had anything to do with that or not. The industry is just a crap shoot to start with. SO MANY people out there with talent who never make it. Go to any bar in Nashville and you'll hear excellent singers that will likely never hit it big. These women did what anyone would do; networked with a star. They likely were scared to start with & didnt realize anything bad was going on

The commentary below was written by Earl Ofari Hutchinson. He is co-host of the "Al Sharpton Show" on American Urban Radio Network and the co-author of "How Obama Governed: The Year of Crisis and Challenge."

In May 2004 comedian, social critic, and philanthropist Bill Cosby took the stage at Independence Hall in his hometown of Philadelphia. It was a gala commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's decision on school segregation. Cosby was being honored for his near legendary philanthropy to African-American colleges. The mostly black audience, chock-full of veterans of the civil rights and social justice movements, fully expected to hear Cosby reminisce about the gains and importance of the civil rights fight and reflect on the massive racial disparities, poverty and economic inequality that still ensnare millions of African-Americans.

They got a shock. Cosby did nothing of the kind. He instead launched into a long-winded, bitter rampage against alleged ignorant, gun-toting, babymaking and jail-deserving young blacks. Cosby then put the capper on it when he angrily shouted that even more blacks deserve to be dumped in the slammer and even evoked God to bolster his scream. "God is tired of you," he said, "and so am I." The stunned audience didn't know what to make of Cosby's tirade. But an endless parade of conservative columnists, right-wing talk show gabbers, bloggers and unreconstructed bigots did. They had found just the man to put the proper face on their long-standing manufactured growth industry in black, especially black male, blame-the-victim bashing. Cosby was perfect. He had none of the odor of black conservatives such as Clarence Thomas and Alan Keyes, who were routinely trotted out to rip and disparage blacks and who engendered near-universal ridicule and condemnation from African-Americans. Cosby, by contrast, was seen as a real civil rights man, a liberal universally admired by blacks.
lRelated Social-media misstep revives sexual assault allegations against Cosby

In the days after that tirade, Cosby's stock soared to new heights among conservatives. He was a man who would air black America's dirty laundry and brave the wrath of civil rights leaders, black activists and black columnists. This all culminated in his getting an unprecedented one hour to tout his blacks-must-clean-up-their-own-ghettos spin on "Meet the Press." He topped that with a book, "Come on People," which quickly soared up the best-seller charts. In the book he harangued and lectured, cobbled together a mishmash of his trademark anecdotes, homilies and personal tales of woe and success. He juggled and massaged facts to bolster his self-designated black morals crusade. Stripped away, it was the same stock message that blacks can't read, write or speak coherent English, and are social and educational cripples and failures. To no surprise, the cheers for Cosby from the racism deniers were wilder and louder than ever.

Or Ed.D., or whatever it is. The guy has always seemed like an arrogant douchebag to me. That bloated credit of his at the beginning of the Cosby Show served no purpose whatsoever except to show what a pretentious dick he is.

None of these stories about him surprise me. It's too bad Carla's husband never Hulked out on him after he found out.

It can't possibly be about sexual release for these freaks--only aggression and violence. It's an even more cowardly and disgusting form of rape, since the victim has absolutely no hope of fighting back.

How very disappointing. He didn't just sexually assault them, he drugged many of them too. He's been a serial criminal pervert all these years. I feel for his wife right now; she must be devastated.

I grew up listening to Bill Cosby's comedy--he was the standard by which I measure almost every other comedian that I enjoy now.

But if these allegations are true...the guy was basically the black Jimmy Savile, except not a pedophile.

This is a man whose work I had liked and respected. I was shocked when the allegations started coming one after the other.

I am now deeply disappointed and angry that Cosby used his fame to drug and rape women. As more of them come out to accuse him of this heinous act, it has become evident that he was a serial rapist who kept assaulting women because he was allowed to get away with it.

I don't know if criminal charges can be brought against him after so many years, but I do hope that at least he will suffer public rejection.

Lisa Bonet, one of the daughters, became very withdrawn and was acting out. She was soon written out of the show, and other characters came on the scene. Makes you wonder. She was a very pretty girl, ultimately married and had a child with Lenny Kravitz. I hope she and her fellow actors were not victims of this jerk.
