Fire forces French public radio off air
Source: France 24
Photos posted on Twitter showed large plumes of black smoke rising from several windows from the upper floors of the Maison de la Radio, on the banks of the River Seine in the west of the French capital.
Employees were evacuated and there were no reports of injuries from the fire, which was quickly brought under control.
Firefighters said the blaze started on the buildings 7th floor, where extensive renovation work is taking place.
Two of the networks stations were briefly forced off air as the evacuation was carried out.

(18,186 posts)Maybe some workers left rags out or something not nefarious. But then American media report stuff like this: http://www.newsweek.com/france-investigates-mystery-drone-activity-over-nuclear-plants-280948
Here's another source for the fire today:

I'm going through withdrawal. TV sucks because it's Halloween and horror is my least favorite genre. I'm really spoiled by net radio.

(18,186 posts)No trick or treaters here. I don't have TV either. I listen to radio out of paris, fr or sao paulo or colorado. Mysterious Universe is a fun show you can catch sometimes.
No one ever shows in this forest, so I went online and read about what the kids were wearing and then I worked and ate most of a carton of Neapolitan Ice Cream. I was going to hand it out with plastic spoons if anyone showed, but then they didn't so it was mine.
I like horror, but it has to be good or B-rate cheesy with humor.
Now it's November. I smell turkey in the distance.
Sorry so long responding. Not on here much.

Some fascinating stuff going on in France. I hope to learn what that drone business is about.
