Angus King switches endorsement from Cutler to Michaud

Source: Portland Press Herald

Independent U.S. Sen. Angus King on Wednesday announced his support for U.S. Rep. Mike Michaud in the Maine governor’s race.

King previously endorsed independent Eliot Cutler, who in turn used the endorsement in television ads. However, Cutler said at a news conference Wednesday that he is a long shot to win on Nov. 4 and urged his supporters to “vote their conscience.”

I had to go look him up to see what party he belongs too.
I'm a yellow dog democrat, in other words I'll vote for a yellow dog before I vote for a republicon

I wish Cutler would drop out but pride won't let him. He is the reason we got stuck with Paulie LiarPage, hands down one of the worst governors in the US.

6. Obama to rally for Maine gubernatorial candidate (Mike Michaud, D)

President Barack Obama is heading to Maine to rally votes for the Democratic candidate for governor, the latest in a burst of campaign appearances Obama is making before next week's midterm elections after months of sitting on the sidelines because of his low approval ratings and unpopularity in some states.

Obama is headlining a rally Thursday in Portland for Mike Michaud, a six-term congressman who hopes to unseat Republican Gov. Paul LePage in a neck-and-neck race. Independent candidate Eliot Cutler is running a distant third.

Obama is the latest top Democrat to campaign for Michaud, following earlier appearances by Obama's wife, first lady Michelle Obama, and his former secretary of state, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
