A legal team representing Wyomings gay community filed a federal lawsuit Tuesday afternoon in Cheyenne the second legal action in the past two days to legalize same-sex marriage in Wyoming.
We feel like this is the quickest way to bring about the freedom to marry in Wyoming, said Jeran Artery, chairman of Wyoming Equality, about the latest suit, filed in U.S. District Court of Wyoming. You can see the writing on the wall with the decision from the Supreme Court this week.
On Monday, U.S. Supreme Court chose to not hear appeals from five states seeking to prohibit gay marriage.
