Marvel, Jack Kirby Estate Settlement Brings End to High-Stakes Battle

"On Friday, Marvel ended a long and bitter feud with the estate of comic book legend Jack Kirby, announcing a settlement just days before the U.S. Supreme Court had scheduled a conference to discuss whether to take up a case with potentially billions on the line.

he was certainly around when they HEARTILY screwed that family around for possession of MILLIONS of dollars worth of artwork
that belonged to them.
Stan Lee and that skank Jim Shooter should be pilloried for that disgrace.
Lee was no innocent bystander.

because Marvel and Sony couldn't be sure that they had enough Supreme Court justices on the payroll to make the "correct decision" about "work for hire".

some of whom worked for marvel, and you ought to here them talk about the business and publishing today.
It certainly isn't like it used to be.

in fact, with media mergers and Disney's rapacious appetite for existing iconic characters,
someday someone will probably consolidate all of it.
