they called a ambulance. He has been fasting for easter. His sugar went down to 32 and the ER doctor said that if it had gone down to 30 he could have died. Scary stuff for sure. The doctor said it is hard to bring the sugar up then it is for a person who is a diabetic because they can bring the sugar down faster. Hope he is better.

George McGovern is a true military hero and aircraft pilot. As opposed to the stay at home public relations officer Ronald Reagan or that absolute fake and disgrace Bush the Lesser.

You would think he was a draft dodging peacenik hippie who smoked grass all day the way the Republicans tried to depict him, constantly muddying the waters and keeping Americans from fully understanding what this man had done for his country.

Former Senator McGovern in good condition in hospital

By Andrew Stern

Thu Apr 5, 2012 11:44am EDT

(Reuters) - George McGovern, the former senator and Democratic presidential candidate, was in good condition on Thursday in a hospital near his Florida home, being evaluated for fainting spells, a hospital spokeswoman and friends said.

McGovern, 89, who lost to Richard Nixon in the 1972 presidential election, was undergoing tests to determine why he has suffered from "brief transient spells where he passes out and becomes verbally unresponsive," his family said in a statement.

South Dakota Democratic Party Chairman Ben Nesselhuf said a member of McGovern's family told him that the former senator may be released from the hospital on Thursday.

I truly believe that Sen. McGovern is one of the best presidents America never had. If he had defeated Nixon, the United States would be a far, far better nation today, methinks!

I donated five bucks to his local campaign office whan he was running for president and I was 16 years old. I still have my McGovern button somewhere.

Best wishes for a complete and speedy recovery to this great American.

A REAL American hero, slimed by the nasty-ass pukes.

This country wasn't worthy enough to have this man as president.
