Donkeys reunited at Polish zoo after sex scandal

WARSAW, Poland (AP) Napoleon is now back with his Antosia.
The two amorous donkeys who were separated because of an outcry over their lovemaking have been reunited at a zoo in Poland.
The couple, together for 10 years, got into trouble when mothers expressed outrage that children had to witness their mating. Local conservative official Lydia Dudziak took up their cause and persuaded the director of the zoo in Poznan to have the animals put in separate pens.
The zoo acknowledged making a mistake Thursday and said the donkeys are again in one pen.

(12,022 posts)As herd animals, they have a desperate need to be with companions, and separating them was cruel.

(19,257 posts)With so few people actually living on or near farms, something like a donkey becomes as exotic as a wolf.
The Minnesota Zoo has a farm exhibit, along with the usual tigers, bears, sharks, penguins, etc. And yes, it has a chicken exhibit.

(39,961 posts)no petting zoo is complete without a few goats and some sheep. The goats in those things are hilarious. They usually have a food pellet dispenser and the goats are suddenly in love with you if they see you with one of those cups of pellets .

(37,364 posts)kept a 3-4 goats at a time in a pen nearby. The couple who own the place used to make goat's milk soap and sell it there. They had one of those little pellet dispensers outside of the pen. The whole scenario went pretty much the way you describe until one of goats took offense that not all people would feed them. That enterprising goat learned how to climb the fence and follow those who didn't feed. A higher fence didn't deter him either. Soon the rest of the goats were copying him and the owners gave up on chasing the goats down and retired them to a farm. Goats are hilarious and so smart.

confront the naked animal issue? They walk around in public with their genitals in full view, always displaying full frontal nudity.
