Jameis Winston claims he was extorted for $7M by rape accuser, TMZ reports

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida State University's Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Jameis Winston is claiming that the woman who accused him of rape last year offered her silence in exchange for $7 million, TMZ Sports is reporting.

The report has not been confirmed by other media outlets.

According to TMZ, Winston's lawyer sent a letter to FSU saying that Winston would cooperate with the school's investigation into the handling of the rape charges. But Winston wanted the school to know about the extortion plot moving forward, TMZ said.

This is the first time there's been any public discussion about an extortion plot related to the Winston rape allegations.

IF this is true (and at this point in time I'm not buying it) there should be a serious investigation. But Jameis has created credibility issues for himself. Between shoplifting (er, ahh, forgetting to pay) to yelling obscenities while standing on a table in the student center I just find anything he says hard to believe.

edit: I just noticed that the linked story said that the extortion attempt came via a letter.... So I'd guess it would be fairly easy to find either her fingerprints or Jameis' fingerprints all over it.

His story on that woman has changed from - I have no idea who she is, I never met her to
- We met at a bar got drunk and had rough consensual sex to
- Yes we had a relationship, but she found out my real girlfriend was coming to town so reported me for rape.

Just like he lied about jumping on a table and screaming F*** them in the Pu***. Notice that in his apologies he never once has apologized to the young women in the room, only apologized to his teammates and coach. He lies, he steals, he demans women, then he makes up more lies.

I think he's totally dispicable and wish he would get what his actions deserve, but doubt that will happen. FSU and the police are all totally on his side and don't care about the young woman involved at all. This school does nothing to protect it's students from rape and don't do anything to warn the other women students when a brutal rape happens. My friends daughter was gang raped by 6 students, sent to the hospital for a week. FSU told her mother that this wasn't the first incident, and guess what - not one alert went out to let the other young women there know that there was a danger on campus. This happened two years ago.
