LINCOLN — A sister of Lt. Gov. Lavon Heidemann was granted a protection order against her brother on Monday after she alleged he physically pushed her out of their elderly mother’s home.

Johnson County District Judge Daniel Bryan, following a hearing Monday morning, issued the protection order that requires the lieutenant governor to stay away from the rural home of his sister, Lois Bohling; refrain from contacting her; and stay away from their mother’s home in Elk Creek, Nebraska, when the sister is present.

Bohling filed a request for a protection order on Aug. 27. Her request alleged that on Aug. 19, while she was attending to her elderly mother, Heidemann arrived at the home and became angry, yelling “you are to stay away from her.”

At that point, according to the sister, Heidemann grabbed her wrists and forceably pushed her out the front door of the home. The protection order described how Heidemann had just been informed that he would no longer be renting two plots of farmland owned by his mother.

Repubs are vicious when it comes to money, and family usually means nothing to them at that point, at least that is my personal experience.

2. It is sad when families fall apart when the parents needs them the most.

I also dealt with an abusive brother who was not doing very much for our mother, my sister did most everything but he wanted to be in control. He never put his hands on me but it was terrible for my mom. To hear my brother tell the story we was taking her money but the truth we were contributing and he did not contribute. I did because I cared.

what the situation is. Could be a long-simmering feud between brother and sister, boiling over now that Mom is getting frail. I wouldn't condemn this guy based on the limited info available; I've seen too many family shenanigans along these lines.

13. It is sad, but we genuinely don't know the backstory.

I have a sister who I would physically eject from my elderly fathers house if I had to. She's an intermittent meth junkie who has repeatedly stolen from my father, mentally abused him by trying to manipulate him out of money by convincing him that he was a bad father and that he would support her if he loved her, and once attempted to scam him out of two of his properties so that she could sell them. She's a manipulator and a thief, and my other sisters and I don't allow her to go anywhere near him without supervision. We've already decided that the next time she tries something, we're going to press to have her imprisoned for elder abuse.

But, if someone simply heard that I was caught throwing her out of the house, they'd probably think that I was the bad guy.

I have no idea what the situation really is for this guy, but I can recognize that family situations can be complicated. We don't know the backstory.
