Permitted concealed firearms would be allowed in GOP convention protest zone

Source: St. Petersburg Times

TAMPA — If Tampa's proposed rules for the Republican National Convention are passed, protesters could not bring squirt guns into a designated protest zone.

But they could bring real guns if they have concealed weapons permits.

That's because state law does not allow local governments to enact laws regulating guns, City Attorney Jim Shimberg Jr. said.

"Even if we tried to regulate it, it would be null and void," Shimberg said Monday.

A tyrannical government could be over thrown by the people if the need ever(never will) came. Since we can vote in elections and always will be able to they wont be needed. There could be a 0.0000000000000~1% chance that will happen but guns are the last line of defense between us and a tyrant.

National Firearms Act Definitions

Destructive Device

26 U.S.C. § 5845(F)

For the purposes of the National Firearms Act, the term “Destructive Device” means:

- A missile having an explosive or incendiary charge of more than 1/4 oz.
- Any type of weapon by whatever name known which will, or which may readily be converted to expel a projectile, by the action of an explosive or other propellant, the barrel or barrels of which have a bore greater than one-half inch in diameter.
- A combination of parts designed and intended for use in converting a device into a destructive device and from which a destructive device can be readily assembled.

Source

Surface to Air missile: destructive device
155mm artillery: destructive device
M1A2 tank with Sabot rounds: the tank in and of itself not a destructive device - the cannon mounted on said tank: destructive device.

I really wish folks would stop using the "everyone is entitled to own (insert ridiculous example here)" as a counterargument.

ALEC is pushing to have guns everywhere, not beause of crime. They are creating a militia and have created covert communication methods.

Conspiracy websites teach this as survival against the 'NWO.' Almost all baggers are conspiracy nuts.

Anyone who doesn't even mildly suspect that, after all the stochastic terrorism in this country and calls for hunting down liberals, as Rush said, is an idiot. n/t
