Officer Who Pushed CNN Anchor Don Lemon Relieved of Duty After Racist Rant Emerges

Source: Mediaite

The same St. Louis police officer who was seen on CNN earlier this week pushing Don Lemon back during a live broadcast from Ferguson, Missouri, has been relieved of his duty after video emerged of an hour-long speech he delivered railing against African-Americans, the LGBT community and President Barack Obama. CNN reported the news about Officer Dan Page, who made the controversial remarks at an Oath Keepers meeting just months ago.

“It’s wide-ranging inflammatory remarks about a lot of people, about women, about gay people,” Lemon reported. “He talks about the president of the United States. He speaks out against affirmative action, women in the military and on and on.”

In the video, Page discusses the “four sodomites on the Supreme Court,” talks about our “undocumented president” from Kenya, and much more.

“What do you say after that?” Lemon said after CNN aired clips of Page’s speech. “There’s much more of that. at least an hour’s worth of him ranting about different people, different situations.”

An evaluation or something. He was clearly disturbed by what he heard in that rant. Don Lemon had both him and the Missouri Highway Patrol captain that has been in charge in Ferguson on.

In the part of his rant when he was going on about Kenya he said he had a plane - a Lear jet - that he took to visit where {insert his uncomplimentary names he used for President Obama} was born. Where does a police officer get the money for a Lear jet? Or did he accept "gifts" from some one for his trip to Kenya? Is it legal for a police officer in Missouri to accept gifts of that kind?

that town is full of him and more like him. i have really struggled to fathom the actions of the police and the DA since this happened. and they just must be so immersed somehow in their lifestyle that they haven't stopped to realize that - they're wrong!
this is why i always think back to birmingham, and philadelphia, MS. places where the people in charge just were incapable of evolving and cocksure that their way of life and perceiving the "other" would always be there for him. how else do you explain what goes on. no arrest of the killer, no not even a report of what happened. a missing bullet from the hospital. squirreling the guy away and nobody has seen him in all this time.

i think they believe this will all blow over and they'll go back to their smug little racist lives, exploiting and killing and mindlessly hating the majority of their own citizens because of race, and life will go on as before. maybe they are really stupid people. but life cannot go back to the way it was in ferguson, MO. the shit has hit the fan.

i agree with others who believe the entire police force should be disbanded. maybe the whole city should unincorporate and try again, with a little justice this time.

a very small city in St. Louis county next to where i grew up and my mother still lives. I am surprised about this, although I don't know why.
I am hoping that of this, it has been like picking up the state of Missouri like a rug and shaking out all this nasty dirt. It is hard to listen to the filth that comes out of their mouth, but I am glad it is seeing the light of day. These kinds of people should never be on any police force, nor even working with the public, much less with any authority.
I am also hoping that it is the last of a dying generation because we cannot get anywhere in this country when we still have people like this in authority.
As another poster said, it would be nice to send them out in public on donkeys with a sign saying who they are, but it looks like that would cause quite a bit of traffic!
If we can weed even some of these bigots out, Michael Browns family can feel good that his death brought this change and his life was not wasted for nothing.

To require continued education for everyone in law enforcement, where every year every sworn officer who can detain and arrest, carry a weapon, attend compulsory ethics courses, education on civil rights, Constitution, and diversity training. Aren't Doctors and lawyers required to fulfill yearly education requirements? Is there another individual who has more potential control over the rights of an American than a law enforcement officer?

Missouri police officer on leave over video in which he says: 'I'm ... a killer'
By Greg Botelho, CNN
updated 10:43 PM EDT, Fri August 22, 2014

<SNIP>
But it's another video that led St. Louis County police officials to say they had removed Page from his post and had started a process that will likely include the department's internal affairs unit investigating and a psychological evaluation of the officer.

&quot I) apologize to the community and anybody who is offended by these remarks, and understand from me that he ... does not represent the rank-and-file of the St. Louis County Police Department," county Police Chief Jon Belmar told CNN. Belmar called the video "so bizarre."

<SNIP>
Belmar, the head of the St. Louis County police department, said all the talk about killing was especially disturbing to him.

"As a police chief, that's something I'm not going to be able to endure," Belmar said.

WATCH the video. This is not just about what Page said but in the CONTEXT of why and how it was presented. This was not merely random ranting....Page gave an HOUR PREPARED LECTURE complete with a presentation of photos from his service in the military. Using biblical prophecy and multiple conspiracy theories from recent historical events, Page weaves a narrative combining them all and incorporating himself into this delusional fantasy he creates to highlight himself as some patriot fighting from the inside to save our country and the world. It includes several Presidents including Regan, Bush and Obama. It neatly ties the wacko conspiracies of Fema, 911, wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and now the clashes in the Ukraine with biblical prophecy and the end of the world. Obama is secretly bringing in thousands of Muslims every week to join with the elite killing machines...Green Berets who are now stationed throughout the US waiting for the order to take over the country, round up and kill all of us "We The People" who resist or who are ill in anyway. This man is mentally ill.
