Political bites: Santorum puts Nebraska in play

A little presidential glow will soon be shining on Nebraska Republicans.

Want proof?

Rick Santorum is opening a campaign office in Omaha in time to compete for GOP votes in the state's May 15 primary. The office should be up and running soon, either this week or next, according to Greg Cromer, Santorum's Nebraska campaign director.

The Republican presidential contender - who squeaked out a win in neighboring Iowa's caucuses - will make his Nebraska home at the Frederick Square Shopping Center on 84th Street.

I predict he'll lose Wisconsin by double digits, the only thing left is to see if he's smart enough to quit then, rather than risk a humiliating defeat in Pennsylvania.
