El Paso police stop anti-illegal immigration convoy after alleged gun threat

A convoy of anti-illegal immigration demonstrators was pulled over by El Paso police after receiving a call alleging that one of its members had threatened a pro-immigration activist who was following the convoy through the city on Sunday, officials said.

Police stopped the convoy of about 10 vehicles on Interstate 10 East between Lomaland Drive and Lee Trevino Drive early Sunday evening, backing up traffic to McRae Boulevard.

The Border Convoy has been streaming video of its nine-day tour from Murrieta, Calif., to McAllen, Texas, on its website. The convoy began its tour Friday, and it is scheduled to end Aug. 9.

Identifying itself on its website as a coalition of citizens concerned over the "invasion" at the border, the convoy had cancelled two El Paso stops because of alleged threats it received on Facebook, Odom said.

their 1/2 tracks or surplus tanks , then those cops wouldn't have pulled them over. Fuckin' unbelievable - 10 cars with armed asshats cruising down the highway. Do these idiots work for a living or are they on some sort of disability for a bad back or high blood pressure? Would love to investigate what they do for an income to buy their cars, weapons and bullets.
Did you notice that they had their "soccer moms" with them for protection and as a shield should there be shooting?

but my first reaction when I see these children walking across the border is to bring them home with me and feed them. I want to give them a safe and warm place to sleep. I want to send them to school in September in clean clothes with a backpack filled with paper and crayons and glue stick....

In my opinion they live in their minds with fear. Fear of the "other" people. That is why we can't do anything about gun violence. The fear factor is a strong motivator. It funds the NRA and the gun lobby and spawns these vigilantes and the likes of Bundy on his ranch.
