US senator to appeal Obamacare lawsuit
Source: MADISON.COM
MILWAUKEE (AP) U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson says he plans to appeal the dismissal of his lawsuit challenging rules that call for congressional members and their employees to seek government-subsidized health insurance through small-business exchanges.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports (http://bit.ly/1pPBiMo ) the Republican from Wisconsin made the comments in an opinion piece running Sunday. He says he feels compelled "to exhaust every legal recourse" as he challenges President Barack Obama's executive actions.
U.S. District Judge William Griesbach had ruled in July that Johnson and his aide, Brooke Ericson, didn't have legal standing to bring their lawsuit because they hadn't been injured.

(6,241 posts)If the government is doing something we don't want them to do, we are all going to find a way to peacefully fight. People are going to sue. If there is any merit to his argument, he'll win. If not, the court will strike it down and he'll live with it.
Imagine if a repub administration made church attendance mandatory. There would be 200 lawsuits filed before the ink was dry. You wouldn't just accept it, just because it was a law. You'd fight.
Let him have his day in court. He'll lose and walk away with his head low.

(3,283 posts)I disagree with your last sentence. Yes, he will lose, but he will not walk away with his head low, he will wear it as a badge of honor. He is, after all, a teabag repug. They know no shame.
