Times Of Israel Gives Writer The Boot After 'Unacceptable' Genocide Post

Source: Talking Points Memo

The Times of Israel said Friday that the blogger who penned a post advocating genocide is no longer with the site.

In a statement attributed to the Times of Israel staff, the publication elaborated on its decision to remove Yochanan Gordon's widely derided blog post, "When Genocide is Permissible."

"This blog post, which was described by our Ops & Blogs editor as both damnable and ignorant, blatantly breached The Times of Israel’s editorial guidelines," the statement said.

Without referring to Gordon by name, the staff said that his blog has been "discontinued."

. . . I think it falls to the mod(s) there who screen the posts - if that is their policy and practice.

for bloggers, there are no editors pre screening posts, in fact it says so on the page that the blogger used that the page is unedited and that opinions are the sole responsibility of the blogger. It was taken down as soon as it was discovered about 10 mins. after it was posted.

Not to mention the "unacceptable"post was far more than unacceptable....just a tiny bit over the line for the owners........just a tad.....

the title alone screams hatred....I call BS....there is plenty of this sentiment in Israel. Who cares if the writer is American? What difference does it make, America and Isrsel governments are joined together by Crazy Glue.

So do NOT talk about the stalks of dead people we created! Silence!

Talk about the single Israeli warrior, trained to killed, in a war......now a prisoner.....oops....kidnapped...talk about that,......or else!

All sound familiar?
