Ukraine accuses Russia of helping destroy plane crash evidence

Source: CBS News

KIEV, Ukraine -- Ukraine accused Russia on Saturday of helping separatist rebels destroy evidence at the crash site of a Malaysia Airlines plane shot down in rebel-held territory with 298 people onboard.

The government in Kiev said militiamen have removed 38 bodies from the crash site in eastern Ukraine and have taken them to the rebel-held city of Donetsk. It says the bodies were transported with the assistance of specialists with distinct Russian accents.

The rebels are also "seeking large transports to carry away plane fragments to Russia," the Ukrainian government said in a statement......

An international delegation visited the crash site Friday evening but was only allowed to view one small portion. While the delegation was leaving under orders from armed rebel overseers, two Ukrainian members lingered to look at a fragment of the plane, prompting a militiaman to fire a warning shot in the air with his Kalashnikov.

"The Russian-led terrorists attempt to destroy evidence of the MH17 plane crash" - the Government of Ukraine

The Russian-led terrorists are preventing access of the international community and foreign governments to the location where the Malaysian Airlines airplane crashed on July 17, and are obstructing the launch of an investigation.

The Government was informed that the terrorists moved 38 bodies of the victims to the morgue in Donetsk, where the “experts” with Russian accent claimed that they intend to perform autopsies. The terrorist groups are also seeking to obtain large cargo transport to move the remnants of the aircraft to Russia.

The Government officially states: the terrorists, with Russia’s support, are attempting to destroy the evidence of this international crime. We urge the international community to oblige Russia to withdraw its terrorists from Ukraine and to allow the Ukrainian and international experts to hold a comprehensive investigation of the tragedy.

There will be no pardon for the international criminals, nor for those who supported them, who trained them, financed them and supplied weapons to them.

The only party in this that benefits from the plane crash is the puppet government in Ukraine.

7. There's FAR too much evidence to argue otherwise

The missile was launched from Russian backed separatist (terrorist) territory, the missile was a Russian SAM-11, the SAM-11 is a very advanced missile system which requires trained technicians to operate, separatists/terrorists aren't allowing access to the site, the separatists/terrorists have been shooting down transport planes in that region for some time now, the separatists/terrorists initially bragged online about shooting down another transport plane that very same day and then scrubbed their post..... There's just no way around the fact that Putin has a hand in this.

but there are a few Putinistas here who insist that this may be a false flag op and the Ukranian govt is responsible for the shoot down.
Hell, even one member is waiting to hear from Jesse Ventura on this issue.

So are there 2 plane shootdown sites in Donetsk, near Torez - with the rebels shooting the military An-26, while the Ukrainians shot down the Malaysian Airlines 777?

9. RIA Novosti and the rebel press have a different take.

Actually, they have several different takes. The Russians and rebels aren't on the same propagandistic page, although they have the same play book. It's also looking like the various Russian ministries responsible for coming up with the teflon butt shields haven't agreed on the specs.

RIA: There have been no complaints from anybody because there couldn't be. OSCE folk and other emergency crews only arrived there late last night. (That is a good 24 hours after the first OSCE folk on site complained).

RIA: It's the aide workers putting bodies into "black containers" for storage. (That was yesterday, before the aide workers arrived.)

Rebels: The Ukrainian government is preventing workers from doing anything, so no bodies or anything else has been touched by anybody. Although most of the aide workers that were working yesterday there before they arrived were Ukrainian government workers and couldn't be trusted.

Rebels: No shots were fired, it's peaceful.

Rebels: The shots fired were from Ukrainian forces who have brought fighting to this area. So denying the workers access to 'all areas' is for their safety.

Meanwhile, Ukr press reports that several BUK-M units, launchers with a control unit, were taken back over the Russian border during the night. Yesterday it was reported they'd reached Krasnodon in the east.

It's also the first couple of days in a long time that the rebels haven't crowed about shooting down Ukrainian planes.

They need to immediately cease support of these lunatics.

But then again, I really don't think Putin has control of these nutjobs. He's a halfwit insecure thug at best. His intellect is overrated and he has no strategy or vision for the region or his country. He's the president of a dead or dying empire, the only assets of which are oil and arms sales.

Congrats Putin, you've managed to fuck up an already fucked up country. You're no better than Bush. No wonder the republicans love this guy. Their vision is similar - anti gay, very authoritarian, and always going on about "Christian" values.

CNN reported today that the bodies have been looted by the locals. One reporter on site said that he spoke with a local who showed him a watch and said there are a lot of new watches in town today. Reporter also said odd thing about the site (he was there) was that there were no personal effects of value at the site. Watches, phones, ipads, etc. Things one would expect to find at a crash site of this nature.

To say that the looting pigs disgust me would be a tremendous understatement. I want to vomit. They are inhumane greedy pigs with no sense of dignity or civil behavior. For me, its at the point that I don't care if those bastards kill each other, but to kill innocent people, minding their own business at 33,000 feet above the craziness qualifies as a war crime in my book.

ETA: I don't care how much Russian government agents scrub Wikipedia, the whole world knows who shot the plane down and who is trying to cover up their complicity.
