The race just started, so nothing is insurmountable. Obviously we have our work cut out.

The fact is the race is just starting. Kerrey, like him or not, is a pretty dynamic person and looks younger than he is. The fact is that Nebraska is a challenge. It is not a liberal or naturally Democratic state. Even Nelson, the most conservative Democrat in the Senate, was facing a tough re-election.

There was a reason for such. Kerry lost a leg in Vietnam, was awarded the Congressional Medal Of Honor, US Navy Seals. He was popular before and can be once again. Repubs did not want him to run............

You are confident Kerry will lead by November in a bright red state. Why?

The Nebraska Democratic Party doesn't have a good track record of building and creating leaders who can win political campaigns. Jim Esch came really close to the winning against Lee Terry, he had grassroots support behind him. Tom White's campaign spent most of their time canvassing Republicans, trying to get them to change their votes. I have no idea why the kids running White's campaign didn't want to stir up the grassroots support that Esch was able to get.

The GOP hasn't even settled on a candidate yet. My point in posting this was simply to indicate "hey, there's work to be done here."

Why were they trying to block Kerrey from running If he can eaisly be beaten.

This race just started.Kerrey might not win In november but I hardly think we should assume It will be a double diget loss In november
based on march polls

Now, they'll actually have to put money into winning Ben Nelson's old seat. They may win, but it'll cost them.
