Fran McLaughlin, Walker's county spokeswoman , and Jon Myhre, a deputy spokesman, were among a group of seven former county employees whose personnel records were subpoenaed by prosecutors in connection with the Doe, according to court records.

McLaughlin's name is also apparently mentioned in a transcript of a March 30, 2010, computer chat between Rindfleisch and Jim Villa, a former Walker chief of staff at the county and an informal adviser to Walker's 2010 race for governor.
In the transcript, Rindfleisch says that, "I got Fran highlighting all the mistakes in the press releases that the campaign does." The exchange doesn't clarify whether she's referring to McLaughlin, though it comes in a conversation mentioning some other staffers in Walker's county executive office. McLaughlin was the only Fran working in the county executive's office at the time of the 2010 chat.
The transcript also doesn't say whether McLaughlin did the campaign press release work on her own time or while on the county clock.

(36,063 posts)Walker's personality hasn't changed since he was a toddler. That doesn't mean that having been caught cheating and kicked out of University just a few hours short of a degree didn't change him.
While I don't expect that he became any more honest, I do suspect that he became rather more careful.
