Thomas Mulcair elected as new leader of the federal NDP

TORONTO -- Thomas Mulcair, the man who spearheaded the NDP breakthrough in Quebec, has been elected to lead the party and fill the shoes left vacant after Jack Layton died last summer.

The Conservatives stand accused of election fraud and it's budget time. This could be enough to bring down the government

Not unless someone steps up and says they got their orders directly from the PMO.

One thing Harper knows is how to run a tight ship. The loose cannons have already been secured.

They may want to try to legitimize their position by having another, un-tainted election. They may also want to put Mulcair in his place by challenging NDP seats.

Been following this for a couple of days. Mulcair wasn't my preference, but I don't have any big objections to him either.

Jack Layton's widow, Olivia Chow just endorsed him.
