New Hampshire is a good state filled with good people who weren't about to put up with this
kind of shit.

Mr. Copeland availed himself of his right to freedom of speech, but such actions have consequences, which he learned as well.

Thanks for posting, Don.

“I believe I did use the ‘N’ word in reference to the current occupant of the Whitehouse,” Copeland said in a subsequent e-mail to his fellow police commissioners, which he forwarded to O’Toole. “For this, I do not apologize — he meets and exceeds my criteria for such.”

I've had the privilege of visiting NH and Wolfeboro in particular. It's a very nice place with really nice people who treated me and my friends well - despite the fact we're all openly gay. So I don't think this person's views reflect the views of the people of Wolfeboro or NH.

ON EDIT:

"We're all openly gay" doesn't mean we were going out of our way to appear gay. However, when a crowd of guys shows up at a restaurant and we discuss things other than sports it's hard not to figure it out.

and there are some great people there. My old boss was not one of them. He was a NYer and a dick. I gladly quit that job but still keep in touch with one of my co-workers there. I left in 2000 so that's a long time. Wolfboro is lovely and I know Romney has a home on the lake there too. I know there were quite a few multimillionaires that had homes on the lake and there were some dreamy homes I lusted after. Haven't been back since. Sadly.

Mitt Romney wants 'n word'-using police official to go. Why is he involved?[/b

]Mitt Romney joins calls for the Wolfeboro, N.H., police commissioner to resign over use of a 'vile epithet' to refer to President Obama. The GOP's ex-presidential nominee has a keen interest in that community.

(snip)
Romney has long been one of Wolfeboro’s most prominent homeowners. He spends some time every summer with his large family at his lakeside estate. Given the publicity this controversy has received, the ex-presidential contender probably felt that it was contingent upon him to speak out, as well. He would not want anyone to take silence on the matter as an implicit endorsement of Copeland’s remark.

with free speech, he said what he said and no one stopped him. This has to do with a person who represents a department, and made a racist slur which reflects not only on the department but the NH community.

Robert's and the other members of the SC who said that there is no problems with race anymore obviously are living in an alternate universe or in denial. Just read the yahoo message boards. Maybe I should refer to it as the KKK yahoo message boards
